At ONE Design we are always seeking ways of allowing the structure to express itself. Nowhere in a home can this be achieved with more effect than with a staircase. Connecting spaces with a three dimensional object, connects not only location but can be transformative in how it elevates the occupant. Incorporating the retractable skylight, one can literally look to the heavens as they ascend along the naked spine. Runway lighting on one side and clear glass on the other enables the user to float yet feel secure at the same time. The zen space this private roof deck affords with sweeping views adds a huge component to this penthouse unit, previously lacking open space.
