Judah Street

This project is an adaptive reuse of a landmark building in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset. Originally housing Henry Doelger’s offices, this wonderful example of Art Deco infused with a Streamline Moderne façade offers a narrative of the rich and colorful history of both the city and the building itself. Working closely with the Historical Preservation Commission and the Planning Department, the decadence of the Art Deco Lobby and the curving glass block of the Streamline Moderne styles have been painstakingly renovated.

Careful reconstruction of this building was required due to extensive structural damage which necessitated a hands-on customized design approach. From a full seismic upgrade to cutting-edge energy efficient systems and services, a builder like Henry Doelger would be very impressed and proud to call this building his own. This unique building is a model in energy use and offers a wonderful location for its commercial tenants.
